So, during the last week or two Avery has started to experiment with smiling! She's very funny about it too. She smiles the most while she's on the changing table, I guess she really likes a clean diaper!
She's been having fun learning how to hold her head up and experimenting with the bumbo (a special seat for newborns and toddlers).
She still loves her mobi wrap and we use it quite often. We can't wait until she can sit outward in it. :)
Avery has also been learning how to spit out her pacifier a great distance across the room. On one occasion Justin had to go search for it because he couldn't find it after she had spit it out clear across the room. :P She still absolutely loves her bath time as long as we don't touch her head. As soon as we touch her hair she starts crying. Her hair continues to grow every day and we love brushing it after a bath because it's so unruly and thick. And so, there are lots of new experiences happening in Avery's life. She seems to be starting to get more interested in her hands as of late and making small noises with her voice. And, she has been making friends with lots of other toddlers. One of her friends loves to hold her and Avery likes to hear his voice and is very interested in watching him. :)
Here's another one of her adorable smiles! |
We recently dressed Avery up for Halloween! We'll be getting the pictures soon from a friend of ours who took some for us. But, here's one that I like a lot..
We hope you all have a safe Halloween this week and we'll see you next week! Love, the Aikens
