Hello Everyone! To all of you who don't know already, we now have a little addition to our family. Avery Willow Aiken was born on September 14th at 9:21AM. She weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and was 19 inc. long. She came out with a full head of dark hair and wide dark eyes. The story of the labor and delivery is very long and arduous and will be in another blog later after Justin helps me remember all that happened. It was a very, very special experience and was also the most physically difficult experience I've ever had.
But, today, we'd like to introduce to you our little girl who is growing fast every day. A lot has happened to Avery since she was born; she learned to breastfeed, (which was rather difficult because we had to use SNS or supplemental tube feeding and a nipple shield in the beginning) she has been going through her purple crying phase and we have all been learning to deal with that, she has lost her umbilical cord and had her first couple of baths (which she loves, warm baths are fun for her), she has been to Walmart and Target and went out to eat with her grandparents at Outback, we have been taking her on several walks in her sling and Jasper has been getting to know her a little more and there has been a lot of growing going on for her. So, enough with the talking, now lets look at some pictures!

This one is mostly for my Mom because she loves baby feet so much. I also just love her little feet!

This picture makes me laugh because she's making a really good superhero pose, :P.

I love this picture because she's got a very cute expression on her face, don't you think?

So, anyway, there will definitely be more blogs and more pictures to come. My goal is to write a blog every week about Avery and every new change she's going through. :) The labor/delivery blog will be next with lots of pictures and a proper introduction for Avery. We hope you like it!
Love, the Aikens
